Handbells
Paul brings the lovely handbell set restored by him.
Available each afternoon - outside under the Gazebo if weather is fine.
Usually you start ringing 1 or 2 bells (though with experience - 4, 6 or 8.)
L
iked very much by all who have tried this guided teamwork.
Ringing Paul's handbell tunes is popular with children, senior citizens, and all "between".
After a little practise, they sound lovely too!

Part Song
An opportunity to learn how to harmonise, usually in four parts;
to improve, or just to share this pleasure.

A friendly small group with a quality tutor - learn new songs and experiment with harmonies and parts.

Please email early, should you like to share any particular favourite material.

Initiated by one James - excellence is continued by another.

Walking
A group leaves to walk on each afternoon.
It's particularly lovely walking country in the area surrounding Great Alne.
Stitchwort and bluebells are usually the wild flowers beside the path in Oversley Wood.
In 2010's later Springtime, we saw instead the white carpet of the earlier Wood Anemones.

PIC. The group walking nearby encounter an interesting feature en route.

The Map/Walks page above suggests a selection of outings of varying distance that you may like to follow independently.
Use of an Explorer Series OS map is recommended for all but the shortest routes
.

Cycling
M
ost competently led along delightful country lanes around Great Alne by John Tozer
Do bring along your bike for Sunday afternoon.

Note that you are responsible for your safety.
And parents are responsible for safe conduct of their children at all times.
Chez Meg for tea & scones
Alcester's most favoured Sunday Afternoon
destination.
The cyclists; those out walking, and even a few by car know where to find the very best hostess, delicious scones & afternoon tea with others from the Long Weekend.
If you wish to partake of this delight, ensure that John Tozer has your name & your £1.

Ham Radio Station  Unfortunately, David finds himself unable to do this in 2011. Looking forward to 2012 !
David brings his Amateur Radio equipment, during at least one daytime.
This allows GB0 GAF (Great Britain 0[riginal] Great Alne Folk Registered temporary Station)
to make a variety of contacts each year.
A pleasant number of these (on those frequencies which will carry that far)
involve the chance to speak directly to Amateur Radio enthusiasts abroad.
