. . . Nicola Scott will call for the Contra Dance . . .
It will be pleasant to continue making use of Friday afternoon, as we did in our 30th Anniversary & the years since -
We again BEGIN with a walk - led by Adrian - leaving hall by car at 12.15. If Hall entrance is open, first seek permission for toilet use before the walk.
Noon meet for an early start. An opportunity for you individually to walk further.
Nel's International Workshop in the afternoon. A sit-down roast meal from 6pm. Julian Stanley offers a different dance opportunity - Breton Sets before the meal.
Friday eve this year : again, a brilliant American Contra.
- Caller, Nicola Scott.
Magic Meg of Alcester Contras
And a lovely pace of contra music to lift our dancing thanks to - Magic Meg's Contra-Mates.
(The hall we have wished and tried to hire from noon, to assist in setting-up.
This has not been possible since it now has a regular Friday morning booking.)- A mild weather prospect though, should allow erection of two of our gazebos at 1pm. (NB If it's not breezy!)
We can use the hall facilities from 1pm. We greet traditionally with a cup of tea from circa 1.15pm -
Should weather be very poor, a small number only are likely to wish to walk, and only a short walk will be available. ***
click HERE to see the "Cole Valley Ceilidh Band" playing on Friday eve in 2014, for that years' contra dance.
