Short visits with enthusiastic young people: Do come as early as practicable on cLICKSaturday to play the pan pipes. Arrive from 9am. Get the best individual tuition from Fredy, a lifelong specialist. (Food is available at very reasonable cost, to buy for lunch) At 1.15 is Fredy's equally popular participation in S. American style Drumming . Following this is a "join the band" session for learners of various instruments. On cLICKSunday for the Maypole. Try joining the Band, or later ringing the handbells. Sunday - come early to play the pan pipes. Accompanied/supervised young persons are welcomed at this 9am Sunday workshop to learn to play pan pipes. later, watch & take part in the Black Adder Morris Dancing. This is fun for all. Visitors - especially with interested young children - find delight taking part in these. Watch your kids enjoying it. Then perhaps you trying easy dancing around the Maypole - YOU have a try ! And you may eat‐out with us too; share our varied menu !
SATURDAY AFTERNOON 2:15pm. An opportunity for ANY beginner music player of ANY age to bring ANY instrument to "Join the Band".
We wish to pass on the active traditions of folk dance, music & song. From visiting supervising adults just watching a young child - (eg Drumming, Maypole or Morris dancing) A minimum token of £1 per child per workshop is appreciated. The prices are structured - - to encourage parents & grandparents to bring along children - together with their friends - to discover the joy to be found in the folk activities, dance and music available. The Maypole, Drums, Morris and the Handbell Ringing make mid Saturday & mid Sunday ideal for visits. **
Longer visits of enthusiastic young people up to 18yrs:
Children 16 and under are free throughout (if accompanied by a paying, participating supervisory adult). But from visiting supervising adults just watching a young child - (eg Maypole or Morris dancing) a minimum token of £1 per child per workshop is appreciated. (£2 per child per completed workshop is perhaps a more appropriate contribution by the adult spectator of fully participating 11 to 16 year olds.) Accompanied/supervised youngsters and adults also are welcomed at the 9am Sat workshop to learn to play the pan pipes. Young persons take part free at any workshop/s with their own responsible paying adult.
