We wish to pass on the active traditions of folk dance, music & song. From visiting supervising adults just watching a young child - (eg Drumming, Maypole or Morris dancing) A minimum token of £1 per child per workshop is appreciated. The prices are structured - - to encourage parents & grandparents to bring along children - together with their friends - to discover the joy to be found in the folk activities, dance and music available. The Maypole, Drums, Morris and the Handbell Ringing make mid Saturday & mid Sunday ideal for visits. **
Longer visits of enthusiastic young people up to 18yrs:
Children 16 and under are free throughout (if accompanied by a paying, participating supervisory adult). But from visiting supervising adults just watching a young child - (eg Maypole or Morris dancing) a minimum token of £1 per child per workshop is appreciated. (£2 per child per completed workshop is perhaps a more appropriate contribution by the adult spectator of fully participating 11 to 16 year olds.) Accompanied/supervised youngsters and adults also are welcomed at the 9am Sat workshop to learn to play the pan pipes. Young persons take part free at any workshop/s with their own responsible paying adult.
