Sit-down Meal - 6pm Friday. We ask ONLY for this meal that - We'd appreciate your Fri main course requirements beforehand, to buy items and prepare. It's pleasant to sit together in the hall Fri eve, for varied cooked food choices that don't need excessive preparation. Later choices on Sat & Sun eves and for Monday's seated lunch is requested as early as you can on each day. Just complete any lists for other meals & lunchtime baguettes when you are THERE. Your early preferences on the booking form have however, helped us - - better to plan your requirements for all of the Long Weekend.
Do you wish to eat before the Evening Dance - - but CANNOT reachGtAlneby6pm ? We can have a meal/s KEPT HOT for you, but please say on the form WHEN you DO hope to arrive ! You may then still enjoy a reserved cooked meal in the small "Café room" - - after the Hall tables have been cleared ready for dancing.
Please complete your main course mealpreferences in the table on one of the booking sheets. This isn't “binding”, but PLEASE try to record (& perhaps remember) YOUR Booking Form choice. Your preselection makes a helpful shop / ordering guide for us.
In your glass - Sparkling, non alcoholic grape juice. (A sparkling perry may also be available.)
Entrée - Fillet of smoked mackerel (with parsley & lemon flavouring), served cold with cherry tomatoes & mixed mild salad leaf. ORa slice of melon. ORTomato and basil soup. (v) (More than one of these are available for those wish.)
Main Course - 9 main courses. From these, primarily choose one, and record on the booking form : Try to note (remember) your choice. (1 to 5 or A to E) - though there should be a little spare to allow some flexibility on the evening. NB Cheeses throughout are vegetarian. One or two alternative last-minute changes of mind are also likely to be OK ! 1) Carve your own portion ( CAUTION - VERY SHARP KNIVES ) from an oven-roasted Chicken: with Jacket baked potato: with petits pois & /or with carrot slices or with a side salad.
NB FOR ALL MAIN CHOICES, ALTERNATIVE or ADDITIONAL - - ROAST BUTTERNUT SQUASH, ROAST SWEET POTATO: perhaps ROAST PARSNIP are available. ASK !
OR 2) A whole ( fins removed ) oven-baked mackerel:
OR 3) (Vegetarian: purchased frozen): Linda Mc Cartney Plaits. Cheese, leek & potato filling in a puff pastry plait.
OR 4) (Vegetarian/coeliac): Roasted or Jacket Potato (& /or Butternut Squash) - with wedge from an oven-baked brie with apple slice and cranberry-topping, or other vegetarian cheese baked in croc dish.
OR 5) (Vegan/coeliac): Roasted or Jacket Potato (& /or Butternut Squash) - with 3 oven cooked vegan "sausages" (vegetable content only and with NO wheat or maize corn).
ALSO as primary main course option - ALL THESE FOLLOWING CAN PROBABLY BE ASKED FOR AND PROVIDED ON THE DAY: helpfully please, REQUEST a bit before mealtime.

With a choice of medium chilli-spiced Indian vegetarian filling: eg Dal Makhani. With petits pois & /or with carrot slices, orwith a side salad.

ORB) Bavarian-Ham (sliced) as your primary main course option - with salad, & / orwith Cheese.
ORC) (Vegetarian): Choice of Cheeses as your primary main course option - with salad & / orwith coleslaw.
ORD)(Vegetarian): Filled Jacket or roast Potato: with hot baked beans, or with hot or cold choice of Cheeses or with coleslaw, ( orwith a choice of medium chilli-spiced Indian vegetarian filling: eg Dal Makhani. ) With each, a choice of petits pois orside salad.
Sweet Course: Ice cream, (also yoghurts, crème fraiche, cream) tinned fruit: various fresh fruits. Also - Variety of cheeses and biscuits. -
After - Tea / or coffee ( cafétière coffee may be available )..
(NB. Professional catering has thus far been impractical for our small numbers. Also, it's relatively very costly.)
